My name is Manuel Eliseu, I am 28 years old, and I live in Lisbon, Portugal. I am passionate about sports, having started swimming when I was ten years old until I was 17. During that time, I participated in several national championships to achieve some podiums in some of those competitions. After quitting competitive swimming, I started running to keep myself fit and later enrolled in a triathlon competition by influence from a friend. Today, I am a 3x Ironman finisher aiming at completing two more as soon as the pandemic allows me to do so. I want to be an advocate for road safety and driver awareness as I am regularly practicing and riding on roads and as I am, myself, a victim of a car crash. Back in August 2019, while I was practicing, I got hit by a driver. Fortunately, I got no significant injuries, but the fear of being hit again is always present.
